The Chief of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, received on Wednesday the Libyan National Security Adviser, Counselor Ibrahim Bushnaf.

A statement by the HNEC said the meeting touched upon the measures to ensure the conduct of fair elections, including the authenticity of voters' and candidates' documents.

The two parties agreed to strengthen cooperation to develop information and databases of direct relevance to the electoral process.

For his part, Counselor Bushnaf affirmed his support for the HNEC, appreciating at the same time its efforts in preparing for the upcoming elections.
