The Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Emad Al-Sayeh said Presidential Council cannot issue presidential orders for electoral laws away from the House of Representatives as this issue pertains to the executive authority.

Al-Sayeh told reporters that if the Presidential Council issues electoral laws' decrees, it should send them to the House of Representatives for devising laws out of them for elections. He said once the laws come to HNEC, it will deal with the government that is in place that can fund and secure the electoral process.

He said the holding presidential, parliamentary, and senate elections in tandem will take at least 36 hours, proposing holding two at one time and the last one alone.
