The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Monday, welcomed the Libyan dialogue supervised by the United Nations, scheduled to take place in early November in Tunis.

This came in a phone call between Tunisian President, Kais Saied and his Algerian counterpart, according to a statement by the Tunisian presidency.

Tebboune welcomed the efforts to establish the Libyan dialogue forum, reiterating his country's readiness to play a supportive role with Tunisia.

For his part, Saied expressed his gratitude for the Algerian position, and his appreciation for its "steadfast stances", underscoring that "coordination with the Algerian brothers is a consistent part of the Tunisian diplomacy," as he put it.
