The Algerian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf, renewed his country's support for the political track in Libya, stressing that the track of the presidential and parliamentary elections is the way to end the Libyan crisis.

In his speech at the launching of the preparatory meeting of Arab foreign ministers ahead of the Arab League summit in Jeddah, Attaf hailed the consensus among the Libyan people to holding elections, end the crisis once and for all and build a democratic state, highlighting the fact that regaining stability in Libya would only be through a Libyan-Libyan track.
