Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attia highlighted the severe issue of terrorism in the African Sahel, noting the presence of well-armed "terrorist armies."
He said the region, one of the poorest globally, has been significantly impacted by unconstitutional changes, experiencing eight coups in the last two years.
According to Attia, the terrorist groups now possess highly advanced weapons, primarily sourced from Libya, indicating a significant escalation in the region's security challenges.
