Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday that he would expedite the military cooperation with Libya, reaffirming that he had expressed to the Libyan side that Ankara is ready at any time.

Erdogan's remark was part of a series of statements in which he offered to send forces to Libya if requested so by the Government of National Accord (GNA), in the framework of the security memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries.

The Foreign Relations Committee in the Turkish Parliament approved last Monday the memorandum of understanding with Libya in the security and military fields.
