The National Anti-Corruption Authority has requested the Attorney General to suspend the National Oil Corporation's (NOC) decision to form a committee to negotiate with potential partners the development of oil and gas discoveries at the Hamada NC7 field.
In a statement, the Authority said the NOC did not adhere to the procedures established by the government, which authorizes the Council of Ministers to negotiate such issues.
It argued that the decision exceeds the jurisdiction of the NOC and potentially harms the public interest.
