The Arab League has expressed support for the recent Libyan agreements aimed at resolving the Central Bank crisis, which includes appointing new leadership and forming a new board of directors.
Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit welcomed the development, stating that the agreement could help restore international financial confidence in Libya.
He also emphasized the need for its swift implementation to facilitate the resumption of Libya’s oil production and exports, which are crucial to stabilizing the economy and improving the livelihoods of citizens.
The bloc reiterated its commitment to supporting Libya’s unity and sovereignty while underscoring its opposition to any foreign interference in the country’s internal affairs.
