The Arab Parliament has condemned the armed attack on the Libyan Military Attaché in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, which caused material damage to the building.

A statement on the Parliament's website considered that attack "a criminal act, which contradicts all international norms and laws that guarantee full protection and security for diplomatic missions."

Libya's Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Libyan military attaché in Khartoum had been subjected to an armed attack.

It called on the relevant authorities in Sudan to prosecute those who prove their involvement in the attack, which left material damage.
