President of the Association of Italian Repatriates from Libya (AIRL), Francesca Prina Ricotti, has expressed her willingness to cooperate with the new Libyan ambassador to Italy, Muhannad Younis, who has taken up his post in Rome in recent days, the Italian news agency Nova reported.

"I hope to meet the new ambassador as soon as possible and have the opportunity to explain our activities and goals. We have the will to organize joint activities aimed at cultural development between the two countries," Prina Ricotti said in a statement.

She concluded by saying: "A fruitful relationship with the Libyan diplomatic representation in Italy can benefit the activities of both interlocutors and Italians in Libya remain essential to the development of people-to-people relations."
