The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, confirmed on Wednesday, that the Union welcome Libya's return to its African family.

This came during Faki's reception at the African Union HQ in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Baba, the Libyan Foreign Minister Naglaa Al-Manqoush, who is participating in 42nd session of the Union's Executive Council, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

Faki considered that the presence and participation of Al-Manqoush in the ongoing meetings is a symbolic effect that expresses the desire of Libyans to manage their affairs, praising Libya's role in Africa.

Al-Manqoush and Faki's meeting touched on the importance of benefiting from pioneering experiences in some African countries that faced conflicts and political crises.
