The Audit Bureau President Khaled Shakshak met with Oil and Gas Minister Khalifa Abdelsadeq on Sunday to address persistent challenges in the country’s vital oil and gas sector and explore strategies to attract investment and improve performance.
Senior officials from both institutions participated in the high-level talks, which focused on development roadblocks, the implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation systems, and strengthening oversight mechanisms to ensure transparency and optimal use of national resources.
The meeting, held in Tripoli, is part of the Audit Bureau’s broader mandate to supervise state institutions and support public sector reform.
In a statement, the Bureau emphasized its commitment to enhancing efficiency and safeguarding public funds amid efforts to stabilize and grow Libya’s economy.
