The Coalition of Backup Forces of the Libyan Army called on political and social parties, along with the squads on the ground, to support the Presidential Council (PC), in carrying out its duties, until a referendum on the constitution and new elections are held.

In a statement, the Coalition demanded the PC conduct a ministerial reshuffle away from ‘quotaism’ to provide necessary services to the country’s citizens, regardless of their political orientation or districts.

They added that any change, which is not based on the law and a fair trial for those who committed crimes against Libyans, would not be deemed acceptable.
