Oil operations at the ports of the oil crescent region were halted early on Wednesday due to bad weather and high wind speed, which caused extreme waves to rise at sea.

This is the second time operations were stopped in the last few days, as exports were also suspended earlier this week due to a sit-in carried out by the Petroleum Facilities Guards demanding the payment of their back salaries.

The National Oil Corporation repeatedly made demands on the government to release its overdue budget in order to be able to conduct its business and improve the quality of its services.
