The Joint Security Room of Bani Walid has denied the existence of secret prisons inside their administrative area of the city all the way to the administrative border of the city of Sirte.
The Joint Security Room in a statement said "There are no extremist groups controlling or running camps and prisons within the administrative area of the city of Bani Walid," adding "We follow the activities of any organisations within the administrative borders of our city".
The Bani Walid Joint Security Room called on the media to contact them to verify any news regarding the security situation in the region before publicizing what could be false reports and stated their readiness to cooperate with the media in revealing the fate of the kidnapped journalists.
