The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya, Yacoub El-Hillo, discussed with the Minister of Interior, Fathi Bashaga, the resumption of flights for migrants wishing to return home from Libya to their homelands, along with ‘resettlement’ flights of refugees to other countries and humanitarian evacuation trips.

This came during a meeting between both parties on Tuesday, along with discussions of cooperation in humanitarian issues and methods to develop and strengthen their strategic relationship, according to a statement issued by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

Both parties also agreed to work on ways to facilitate the issuance of entry visas to members of international, non-governmental organizations who work in the humanitarian field in Libya
