The UN envoy and head of its mission in Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, received on Sunday the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, at his office in Tripoli.

In a brief statement on Twitter, the ICC said that prosecutor Khan was delighted to meet Bathily and expressed sincere thanks for the strong support of UNSMIL for his visit.

Khan arrived in Tripoli on Saturday and opened his meetings with the Presidential Council's Head, Muhammad Menfi, where they discussed aspects of cooperation between the ICC and the Libyan judiciary in human rights issues.
