The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Abdoulaye Bathily, has given the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammed Menfi, a full briefing on his recent meetings and talks on Libya, in addition to his briefing to the Security Council.
This came during their meeting on Tuesday, during which Menfi confirmed support for all efforts made to reach parliamentary and presidential elections before the end 2023, according to the PC media office.
For his part, Bathily stressed the importance of the PC role in supporting the efforts of the United Nations in Libya, and reconciling all Libyan parties as a neutral party that stands at the same distance from all parties.
