Officials at Benina International Airport in Benghazi presented to representatives of a number of Italian companies a proposed design for the construction of Terminal 1 of the airport, according to the airport's management Facebook page on Sunday.

The airport's management clarified that a delegation of a number of Italian companies specialized in the area of design, construction and reconstruction, visited the airport on Saturday, and met with a number of the airport's officials.

It also explained that the Italian companies were requested to submit the fiscal cost and time period for establishing the project in the coming days, to study and refer to the competent authorities for consideration.
