The Brigade 444, which is affiliated with the Tripoli Military Zone, announced the arrest of individuals formerly associated with what was known as the Stability Support Apparatus.
In a statement, Brigade 444 said it apprehended these individuals following field investigations that led to confessions about the existence of a mass grave inside a facility affiliated with the apparatus in Abu Salim.
The brigade clarified that its members began the process of recovering the bodies from the site, which so far has resulted in the extraction of ten bodies belonging to both men and women, amid precise field procedures and full consideration of humanitarian and legal aspects.
The Criminal Investigation Department, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, has started the process of analyzing the remains to identify the victims through approved technical procedures and under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
