The British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, has affirmed her country's support for the Presidential Council's initiative to overcome the political crisis in Libya.

Hurndall's remarks came during her meeting with the PC Head Muhammad Menfi.

The British ambassador praised the launching of the preparatory forum for the National Reconciliation Conference, saying it was an important step forward.

She said the reconciliation conference would speed up the delivery of the elections according to a consensual constitutional rule, in which its results would be acceptable to all.
