The United Kingdom has expresses its readiness to support Libya's High National Election Commission (HNEC) with technical and advisory assistance to strengthen its preparedness for the upcoming electoral process. 

The announcement was made by British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, during a meeting with HNEC Chairman Emad Al-Sayah on Monday. 

The meeting, held at the HNEC headquarters in Tripoli, highlighted the UK's appreciation for Libya's efforts to uphold high international standards in its electoral processes.

According to the Commission, the visit aligns with international community efforts to support Libya’s democratic pathway and to review the HNEC's readiness for the 2024 municipal council elections.
