A UK court sentenced Thursday the Libyan-British national Hashem Abedi, younger brother of Salamn Abedi who bombed Manchester Arena outside Ariana Grande concert in 2017, to at least 55 years in prison for cooperation in the crime.

Abedi was convicted for the murder of 22 people as the court considered him as guilty as his brother was in the bombing. Abedi refused to appear in court to hear the verdict, BBC said.

Hashem Abedi, who was extradited by Libyan authorities to the UK, denied on March 17, when he was charged with murder, helping his brother in planning the bombing.
