A desert locust spraying campaign has begun in Bani Walid, with the participation of the Bani Walid Agricultural Police, the Agriculture and Livestock Sector, and the Locust Control Office.

The campaign covered the valleys of Bani Walid as part of efforts to combat locusts, which pose a threat to the environment and agricultural production in various regions of Libya.

On April 5, Colonel Abdul Salam Saeed, director of the Central Agricultural Police Branch, announced the launch of a new pesticide spraying campaign to combat desert locusts in the Haniwa neighborhood on the outskirts of Sirte. This campaign follows the completion of spraying in other areas, such as Abu Hadi and Jarf.
