An oil tanker carrying a quantity of 1 million barrels of crude oil left Zueitina oil port for China on Friday.

The oil tanker named "MARAN PLATO" flying the Greek flag, departed the port on Friday evening towards China, the Information Office of Zueitina oil port confirmed on Facebook.

Zueitina port exported in August a shipment of the same amount of crude oil to Malaysia.

Reuters revealed on Friday that OPEC oil production in August had reached highest levels this year due to the recovery of Libyan oil production after it exceeded the threshold of one million barrels per day.
