Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu says that elections in Libya are the guarantor of the state's unity.

"The situation in Libya is very critical, and a date has been set for the elections as soon as possible, but the Libyans said that the conditions in the country are not appropriate and as a result, they were postponed," Cavusoglu said in a TV interview according to the Anodolu news agency.

He stressed that the legitimacy in Libya should not be on the table until the elections and other necessary steps are taken.
