CBL

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) announced on Monday the start of distributing cash through bank branches and ATM machines.

The announcement came during a meeting of the working group which included directors of the CBL’s departments and general managers of major commercial banks, in the presence of representatives of the Facilities Security Authority, according to CBL statement.

The CBL explained that liquidity will be transported to bank branches by land and air according to a schedule distributed over the days of this week to cover all parts of Libya, provided that the bank branches begin distributing liquidity on a regular basis starting next Sunday. 

In this context, the CBL confirmed Liquidity will continue to be distributed throughout the coming months at a faster pace.
