The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Siddiq Kabir, held discussions with a number of mayors regarding procedures related to the disbursement of emergency municipal budgets, estimated at 200 million dinars.
This came during a meeting held Thursday at the office of Kabir attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fathi Mijbri and the Minister for Local Government, Badad Gansou.
Kabir stressed in his speech that the CBL is in full cooperation with the Ministry of Local Government and Municipal Councils in order for them to be able to carry out their assigned roles.
For his part, Mijbari stressed that the municipalities should play their role in determining their excess expenditure and organizing their administrative structures to achieve their goals with the funds allocated to them.
