The Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and the president of the Chadian Transitional Military Council, Mohamed Idriss Deby, have expressed their concern about the security situation in Libya and the threat of destabilization to neighboring countries, in addition to the presence of terrorist groups in the Sahel region.

This came in a joint statement after a session of talks between Al-Burhan and Deby in the Chadian capital, N'Djamena, during which they discussed exchanging information between the security services of the two countries as well as judicial cooperation.

The two sides agreed to take strong and consistent measures to combat illegal immigration and smuggling of weapons.
