Prime Minister of the parallel government, Fathi Bashagha, has discussed with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Congo-Brazzaville, Jean-Claude Gakosso, efforts to make national reconciliation a success.

The discussions also dealt with ways to prepare the general atmosphere for holding simultaneous presidential and legislative elections, according to Bashagha's post on his Facebook account, on Friday.

During their meeting in Benghazi, the two sides discussed the efforts made by the African Union to reach a comprehensive Libyan solution.

Gakosso arrived in Benghazi on Thursday, heading a delegation from the African Union, and he met the Speaker of Parliament, Agila Saleh, and said that the time had come for "Libya to take decisive steps towards resolving its crisis," calling on the African Union to take a stand against foreign interference in Libya.
