The Administrative Control Authority held an expanded meeting on Monday that grouped organizations and agencies concerned with consumer protection.

The participants included the head of the Municipal Guard, Rajab Qadusa, the director of the Administrative Control Authority, Suleiman Al-Shanti, and the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohammed Al-Hawij.

The session discussed a mechanism for setting consumer protection controls to tackle commercial fraud and laying sound foundations for wholesale markets and importing agencies' activities.

They also exchanged views on measures to regulate the work of hospitals and health facilities and to oblige such institutions to follow the applicable laws.
