Customs authority seize 270,000 narcotic tablets on Libyan-Tunisian border

The Libyan Customs Authority has seized a car on the Libyan-Tunisian border in the Wadi al-Bir region while trying to smuggle a significant quantity of narcotic pills.
According to the customs authority, the driver of the vehicle, who was an Algerian, was carrying in his car 36 boxes of Larica narcotic pills, about 270,000 tablets, and five bags containing a white substance suspected to be Heroin drug, weighing 2.5 kg.
The authority said it had taken all legal measures against the perpetrator and informed the Public Prosecution Office.
