The authorities of the Sudanese state of Darfur, bordering Libya, has announced the formation of a security force to protect commercial convoys between the two countries, after the head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, instructed to facilitate procedures for Libyan investors to enhance economic cooperation.

This came during a visit by a Libyan delegation to North Darfur state several days ago, which includes representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Transport and a group of investors, as well as representatives of the chambers of commerce, seaports, customs and banks.

Both sides discussed developing and expanding the areas of Libyan investment in Darfur and all the states of Sudan.
