Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah has chaired a high-level meeting to review the latest developments on irregular migration and border security.

During Tuesday’s meeting, Dbeibah underscored the importance of coordination between security agencies and government ministries to enhance border control and curb migration flows. He also called for intensified security and intelligence efforts to address challenges linked to irregular migration.

Acting Interior Minister Imad Trabelsi, who also leads the High Committee for Migration and Border Security, briefed attendees on the outcomes of an emergency meeting held to discuss border management. He outlined the latest measures aimed at strengthening security oversight.

The meeting was attended by several senior officials, including the ministers of local governance, labour, transportation, and acting foreign minister, as well as the head of the Internal Security Agency.
