Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has discussed prospects for cooperation in various fields with Russian officials.

This came during a meeting held in the capital, Tripoli, with a Russian delegation headed by Alexander Kinshchak, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian official conveyed an oral message from the Russian leadership emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries and the need to enhance joint cooperation, while also stressing the necessity of activating the Libyan-Russian Joint Higher Committee.

For his part, Dbeibah appreciated the message, affirming the importance of building balanced cooperative relations with Russia based on respect for Libya’s sovereignty and support for its stability, in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries.
