Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah held discussions on Monday with Acting Minister of Oil and Gas Khalifa Abdulsadiq to review key initiatives aimed at bolstering the country’s oil and gas sector.
According to the government’s media office, Minister Abdulsadiq outlined a comprehensive plan developed by the National Oil Corporation. The plan focuses on increasing production, activating international agreements related to exploration and development, and enhancing operations at the Brega Oil Marketing Company.
During the meeting, the PM underscored the urgency of implementing the approved strategy to boost productivity in the oil and gas sectors. He emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of oil fields, stressing that their closure under unfounded pretexts would not be tolerated.
Dbeibah also called for strict accountability measures against those responsible for such actions, urging that they be referred to the appropriate authorities for further action.
