Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeibah said that he categorically rejects Egypt's unilateral demarcation of its maritime borders with Libya, adding that there is an Egyptian chargé d'affaires in Tripoli who usually deals with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity.

In an interview with Al-Arabiya channel on Friday, Dbeibah called on the Egyptians to sit with the Libyans in joint committees and agree on the demarcation of the borders, pointing out that if the agreement is not reached, there is the United Nations and the International Tribunal for the Settlement of Disputes.

Dbeibah added that the agreement with Turkey came to guarantee Libya's maritime and economic right in the Mediterranean.
