The Human Rights and International Law Office at the Ministry of Defence concluded, on Wednesday, a workshop on international humanitarian law applies during military operations.

The three-day workshop was held in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross.

A group of 15 officers from combat military units and specialists in international humanitarian law received training on how to reduce humanitarian risks associated with military operations.

The workshop coincides with the military operations the government launched last week to eliminate smuggling activities and human trafficking gangs.
