Three soldiers were killed during clashes with drug traffickers in the Libyan desert, as announced by Brigade 444 on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Brigade reported that its forces conducted a major crackdown on drug rings in the desert route, leading to the interception of five million narcotic pills.

The deceased soldiers were identified as Hamza Al-Fittouri, Thabit Hamad Sidi, and Habib Ali.

The confrontations, which lasted for several hours, resulted in the suppression of significant smuggling operations in the desert and foiled the planned smuggling of nearly five million narcotic pills into the capital, Tripoli.
