A spokesperson for so-called Special Forces of Dignity Operation, Miloud Zwai, has confirmed the arrest of suspects accused of killing the director of the Education Office in Abyar town, east of Benghazi, Salah Qaliwan.

Zwai explained in a press statement that the arrest took place in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), stressing that the suspects were handed over to the competent authorities to undertake the necessary actions.

The CID had earlier denied the arrest of any suspect, noting that the investigations were still at first stage.

There are fears that this crime will be covered up like other crimes and assassinations that took place in east Libya.
