The Chairman of the Dialogue Committee of the High Council of State, Musa Faraj, confirmed on Sunday that there is a dispute between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State over the mechanism of selecting members of the Presidential Council.

In a press statement, Faraj explained that the dispute was due to the insistence of the House of Representatives to unify the formation of the Presidential Council.

He also explained that the Council of State is holding firm to the political agreement and the consensus on selecting the members of the Presidential Council.

Faraj confirmed that the dialogue committees of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State are looking for a compromise formula to reform the Presidential Council.
