Libya’s Doctors Syndicate filed a complaint with Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour against the Ministers of Health and Finance of the Government of National Unity (GNU), due to “their negligence in implementing government decisions.”
“The GNU has continued to procrastinate in implementing the decision of the previous Government of National Accord No. 885 of 2019 to pay the delayed salaries and adjust them like the other sectors”, the Doctors Syndicate said on its Facebook page.
It also expressed its members' hope for a quick and urgent intervention from the Public Prosecutor before the collapse of the health sector, threatening to strike until their demands are met.
