Egypt's permanent representative to the United Nations, Osama Abdel-Khaleq, affirmed his country's full support for the UN envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathiliy in his new mission.

This came in a meeting on Friday by the Egyptian delegate with the UN envoy, Bathiliy in New York, during which Abdel-Khaleq stressed the international community’s reliance on his constructive efforts to advance the political process in Libya during the current critical stage, the country is going through.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya announced that its new Senegalese head, Abdoulaye Bathiliy, had started his duties as of September 25, beginning with holding a number of meetings in New York, the most important of which was with Libya's ambassador to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni.
