Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty has expressed his country’s aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission to Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Koury, in a way that serves efforts to reach an intra-Libyan solution to the crisis in Libya.
This came during a meeting between the two parties in Cairo on Thursday, where Abdel Aqty confirmed Egypt continued efforts to help the Libyan parties reach consensus and strengthen the path of an intra-Libyan solution, to reach presidential and parliamentary elections, according to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Facebook page.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the need for all foreign forces, foreign fighters and mercenaries to leave Libya within a specific time frame, in a way that preserves the unity, safety and stability of the country.
