The Libyan State Cases Department of the Supreme Judicial Council has deplored the decision of the Egyptian Court of Cassation to overturn the judgment of the Cairo Court of Appeal regarding the dispute with the Kuwaiti “Kharafi” company.

The Egyptian Court of Cassation rejected the invalidity lawsuit filed by the Libyan state, despite the strength of the reasons on which the court based its judgment and the fairness of its legal grounds," a statement by the Cases Department said.

It also indicated that it had fought "a long and arduous legal struggle" for nearly eight years with its legal team headed by lawyer Dr. Hafiza Al-Haddad, in which they brought the proceedings before the Cairo Court of Appeal three times and before the Court of Cassation for the third time, as well as the Arab Investment Court twice.
