The spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafez, has refused to comment on the Libyan Foreign Ministry's statement regarding the summoning of the Egyptian ambassador by Minister Najlaa Al-Manqoush.

This came in response to a reporter’s query regarding the statement issued by the Libyan Foreign Ministry regarding what was reported in an Egyptian media outlet.

“All Egyptian and foreign media, newspapers, and TV channels operate in Egypt with complete freedom and they express their point of view on various issues”, Hafez said, adding that the official position of Egypt is expressed through statements issued by the Egyptian government.
