A visiting Egyptian medical team at Zliten Medical Center has performed 17 cardiac catheterization procedures to children and newborns.
The procedures, which were conducted in cooperation with the center's medical staff, witnessed the presence of a number of trainees, according to the Therapeutic Services Support and Development Agency Facebook page.
The agency confirmed that performing such procedures is part of the project to localize treatment at home, which aims to provide treatment services inside the country and reduce the need for treatment abroad.
