The Treatment Services Support and Development Agency has announced that visiting Egyptian doctors specialized in cardiac, arterial and vascular diseases began performing open-heart surgery on children and newborns at Misrata Medical Center, accompanied by group of Libyan doctors from the center.
The agency explained in a post on its Facebook page, that the visiting medical team conducted the necessary medical examinations for cases registered in its branch offices which were previously filtered, under the supervision of the Agency.
It is to be noted that the visiting Egyptian team is also organizing a training programme for the center’s medical and paramedical staff, as part of a plan to train and qualify Libyan medics within the Return to Life project designed to Localize medical treatment at home.
