A European monitoring commission arrived in Tripoli at an invitation from the High Council of State (HCS) on Saturday to hold a series of meetings with the HCS and Presidential Council officials, as well as political parties and mayors of the western region.
"The European commission includes political experts, military figures, economists, and foreign correspondents," HCS clarified.
The commission will conduct field visits to apprise them of the situation in the suburbs of Tripoli and the western region, and to learn the truth about the criminal attacks committed by the militias of warlord Khalifa Haftar, according to the HCS.
