The European Union has expressed readiness to bring its expertise in renewable energy to Libya and assist the country in implementing projects in this field.

"In light of the constant power outage, a large number of Europeans have expressed their desire to invest in renewable energy in Libya, particularly the solar energy." the EU mission stated.

According to the EU, in 2020, renewable sources outperformed fossil fuels for the first time.

The mission confirmed that it had worked over the past decade to generate more electricity from renewable sources, emphasizing its commitment to international development and combating climate change.
